Loxton update

Hello

Attached is the information given out on Sunday about the race this weekend just in case you missed it.

One change – thanks to sponsorship from the Chicken Hub in the Aberfoyle Hub shopping centre, lunch will now also be provided on Sunday. It will consist of BBQ chicken, salads and rolls.

Thanks

Loxton training session

My apologies folks, in the last blog I stated that the next practice session for those racing in Loxton would be on the 28th May.

Not only is that 3 weeks after the Loxton race but it’s also a Monday!!!

What I meant to say was that the training session will be on Sun 29th April at 1pm.

Sorry.

Paul

Loxton confirmation

Hi

I can now confirm that we have entered the Loxton race on 6th May.

For those who are coming along, please remember that all riders are expected to be in Loxton by 8.30am on the Sun and stay for the duration of the event.

If you’re thinking of staying in the area Sat night I’d recommend you book accomodation now because it’s selling fast. If you can’t find anything in Loxton, try Berri or Barmera.

We’ll be holding a practice session at the school on Sun 28th May at 1pm for the Loxton riders only. As this will be the only chance before the race to practice in the vehicle, it’s important that they make every effort to attend.

I’ll be away from Thurs next week until the following Fri so if you have any questions, please email me at pbroadley@aapt.net.au before or after then.

If you’d like more information on the race, check out the Pedal Prix website at pedalprix.com.au.

Thanks

Paul

Loxton payment

Hi

Just a reminder that if you are planning on coming to Loxton, your payment of $50 must be made by the end of the day tomorrow Thurs 12th April so we can enter on Friday.

Thanks

Paul

Sponsorship

Hello

As I keep reminding my sons, nothing in life is free and Pedal Prix is no different.

As such, sponsorship is vital to help with the costs of running 2 teams and we need your help to identify potential sponsors.

Sponsorship can be either financial or in goods where the goods can either be used in the running of the team or as raffle prizes.

In return, sponsors will have their name displayed on both vehicles as well as the team trailer, with the size of the signage relative to the value of the sponsorship.

Attached is a standard letter explaining how sponsorship works.

Sponsorship letter 2018 – general-1o01b0z

If you know of any businesses who could help, please pass this letter on to them.

Thanks

Paul

Loxton confirmation

Good news, the following 8 riders have confirmed they are riding the Loxton race:

  1. Georgina Blakeborough
  2. Eddie Conway
  3. Ben Jordans
  4. James Jordans
  5. Patrick Sluiter
  6. Jace Turner
  7. Blaze Whiteway
  8. Molly Williams

Hopefully, an invoice for $50 will now be given to these riders tomorrow (6th April). Unfortunately, as we need to enter the race before the school holidays and this can’t happen until all invoices are paid, your payment must be made by next Thurs 12th April at the latest.

Almost there.

Thanks

Loxton

Hello

Apologies for spamming you tonight.

The following 7 riders have indicated that they are interested in riding in the Loxton race:

  1. Georgina Blakeborough
  2. Eddie Conway
  3. Michail Karamanlidis
  4. Oliver Sharp
  5. Jace Turner
  6. Blaze Whiteway
  7. Molly Williams

Based on 7 riders, the cost per rider for this race would be $55 and this amount would need to be paid before we enter to ensure the entry fee is fully covered.

If your child is in the list above, I need to know by the end of this week if you are comfortable with paying this amount. Please email me at ‘pbroadley@aapt.net.au’ and let me know.

Thanks

Paul

First pedal prix practice session

Hello

Just a reminder that our first official pedal prix practice session is scheduled for this Sunday 8th April.

The purpose of this session is to determine the setup needed for each rider in each vehicle so it’s important that they all attend if possible.

The session will be on the blue courts at school and will run from 1pm to 3pm.

Because this is a relatively short session there will be no designated time slots so we’ll run on a first in, first served basis and see how that goes.

Thanks

Paul
